Greetings from rogue destiny!

“Fairy tales are more than true. Not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”

-G. K. Chesterfield

Greetings from Rogue Destiny,

Some exciting news this month. Amazon is launching a new platform in July called “Amazon Vella”. This new format will feature episodic stories with a new installment added every week. The first three episodes are free to read. If you like the story then you can purchase tokens to open future installments. Readers will be able to vote for their favorite story every week and help raise that story to the heights of popularity. Story length will range from short stories to full novels, all the way up to ongoing, never-ending tales with hundreds of chapters. Mark my words, there will be never-ending stories in Vella.

I will be putting up only short stories for now, hopefully as a way to gain new readers and direct them to the longer Rogue Destiny novels. With today’s hectic lifestyles there’s a growing segment of readers who want shorter fiction they can enjoy in smaller bites while waiting in line at the store. This may sound new but it’s an old school way of getting the printed word into the hands of their readers going back to Strand Magazine where Sherlock Holmes first appeared in the 1880s and continuing with such magazines continued on through the 1940s with titles like Weird Tales, Astounding Science Fiction, and Uncanny Tales. My first story will be The Dragon Hunters of Mirth, an epic fantasy tale with a Rogue Destiny twist.

Hope everyone is having an awesome summer and enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend.

Stay safe out there,

Paul

PS: And you don’t want to miss July’s newsletter where I will be revealing the finished cover of the first book in the Rogue Destiny Chronicles — Rouge Destiny - Book One.

You can try as hard as you like, but you’ll never be as excited as I am about this. So don’t you dare unsubscribe. Unless of course you want to, then by all means please do. I have other friends.
